Reconstitution calculator
Calculate solution concentration, the volume required for a target amount per aliquot, and the number of aliquots per vial.
Results
- Concentration
- 3.333 mg/ml
- 3,333.3 mcg/ml
- Volume per aliquot
- 0.075 ml
- 75 µl
- Aliquots per vial
- 40
- whole aliquots
Formula
concentration (mg/ml) = peptide amount (mg) ÷ diluent volume (ml)
volume per aliquot (ml) = target amount (mg) ÷ concentration (mg/ml)
aliquots per vial = peptide amount (mg) ÷ target amount (mg)
Worked example
10 mg in 3 ml gives 3.333 mg/ml (3,333.3 mcg/ml). A 250 mcg target amount (0.25 mg) requires 0.075 ml (75 µl), giving 40 aliquots per vial.
